Reaching out for help can feel daunting and I support adults through difficult times with warmth and respect. Personal therapy can be highly effective in making sense of and overcoming traumatic experiences — whether large or small. It can also lead to self-discovery, unexpected realisations, and meaningful personal growth.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can freely explore your concerns. Together, we can look at how past experiences may be impacting your present and work towards overcoming difficulties, challenging deep-rooted negative thoughts, and breaking self-defeating behaviours to create lasting positive change. In our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your unique needs, get to know each other, and explore how you think and feel. This is also an opportunity for you to decide whether I am the right therapist to support you on your journey.

Here are some of the things we will cover in Trauma Therapy sessions:

  • Stabilisation and Resourcing: We look at establishing safety and stability in your own body, your relationships, and life in general. Learn how to regulate your emotions to avoid overwhelm and how to develop your inner strength. We can explore skills for managing unwanted thoughts and minimising the negative responses you automatically have to them.
  • Remembrance and Mourning: We can then discuss memories, to lessen the emotional intensity and to revise the meaning of them within your life and your identity. This may include mourning the loss of what you didn’t have as a child or later in relationships. Some people find remembrance unnecessary after learning the skills of safety, stability and of becoming more self-aware, with the realisation that memories are no longer disrupting their life. Others choose to focus on the memories because they are still disturbing their day to day life. The memories would be explored in the safe and healing relationship we have developed through our sessions.
  • Reconnection: We focus on reconnecting with people, friends, and family. Looking out to find, or remember, the things we enjoy, wether that’s a walk in the woods or coffee with a friend. Finding hope in the future to be able to make decisions that will take you forward in your life.

Over time, I have come to see that most individuals require support in more than one area of life. Our physical and emotional wellbeing is shaped by both past and present experiences, and these influences can affect how we think, feel, and act each day. Because of this, I believe healing and growth are best approached in a holistic way, where different therapies work together to create meaningful change.

To meet these varied needs, I provide a wide range of services designed to nurture balance, clarity, and resilience. These include life coaching and health coaching for personal growth and direction, nutritional therapy to improve energy and wellbeing, and intolerance and allergy testing to address hidden challenges. I also offer mindfulness and meditation practices to reduce stress, along with hypnotherapy to support positive change at a deeper level. By tailoring each session to your unique circumstances, I aim to create an integrated path that empowers you to thrive. To help you discover the right approach, I invite you to take advantage of a free consultation.

I offer in-person and online counselling for men. I work with men who feel weighed down by stress, low mood, anxiety or who are simply finding life harder than they expected. Sometimes that shows up in work pressure, relationship struggles or a general sense of being stuck. My role is to offer you a safe, understanding space where you can talk openly about what’s going on for you, without judgement or expectation.

Counselling with me is about slowing down and making sense of your experience together. We’ll explore what feels difficult right now, and work together towards uncovering clarity and a way forward that feels right for you. Whether you want short-term support through a specific challenge or a longer journey of self-understanding, my aim is to help you feel less alone and more able to move towards the life you want.
